Upon following this Monastic Tradition at level 3, you gain the following abilities:

  • Half of your Ki points are dark, and half are light
  • Reiki: bonus, touch; you heal subject for 1d8 per light Ki point spent, plus your Wisdom modifier.
  • Nullification: reaction; you attempt to absorb an incoming magical effect. You must spent dark Ki points equal to the spell's level, and defeat its DC with a Wisdom (+proficiency) check. On success, you nullify the effect. On failure, the spell works as normal, but you gain resistance and advantage to it.
  • Fist of Darkness: Augment; you can spend 1 dark Ki to add a die of necrotic damage to a melee attack.
  • Hand of Light: Augment; you can spend 1 light Ki to add a die of radiant damage to a melee attack.

Cool Orbs

  • Orb of Harmony: bonus, range 20, costs 2 light Ki; an orb of light orbits subject's head for 5 rounds, during which he is healed for 1d8+Wis at the beginning of each turn. As a free action once/rd, you can change the target of the orb.
  • Orb of Discord: bonus, range 20, cost 2 dark Ki; an orb of darkness orbits subject's head for 5 rounds, during which they suffer disadvantage to one chosen check or save per round (your choice).
  • Orb of Cool Explody: Std, range 20; you can spend 1 dark and 1 light Ki to create a swirling mass of light and darkness which reaches the target, then explodes, inflicting 1d8+Wis radiant damage and 1d8+Wis necrotic damage in a 10-ft burst. Can spend more Ki to add more dice.

Transcendence

  • Experience Tranquility: daily, emanation 10, costs 3 light Ki; for one round, you illuminate the region with light. Allies are healed for 3d8+Wis, and gain resistance to all damage during the duration.
  • Experience Oblivion: daily, emanation 10, costs 3 dark Ki; for one round, darkness emanates from you. Enemies suffer 3d8+Wis necrotic damage, and gain vulnerability to all damage types for the duration.
